Join the Chamber
It is with great pleasure that we announce the implementation of the Chamber’s five new marketing packages, all of which include your membership in the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce. This exciting new program allows our members to take advantage of a full menu of member benefits and marketing opportunities. We are moving away from a traditional membership dues system, based on number of employees, to a benefits based system. Here’s how it works:
1. Review the following five tiered membership levels.
2. Select a level that best meets your business plan needs.
3. Review the a la carte menu to begin your marketing plans for 2009 or to enhance the level that you select.
4. Complete the renewal application (two sides), remove it along the perforation and send it back to the Chamber office.
5. Call the Chamber office if you have questions or would like to meet to discuss the benefits level that best fits your needs.
6. Please note that the a la carte menu provides an option for you to make a totally tax-free contribution to the Chamber Foundation’s Village Flower Basket Program.
Why are we shifting from dues based on employee count?
1. With a tiered membership benefits program, access to benefits is fair to all members regardless of your size.
2. You are taking advantage of a marketing package and your membership is included.
3. The Business Level includes the basic membership benefits that members are currently receiving. Each Level above includes additional benefits valued more than packaged price.
4. You are able to outline your marketing plan with the Chamber, budget accordingly and write one check if you so desire, or set up a payment plan with the office.
5. It is clear what you get for your investment in the Chamber.
We believe that this new benefits package will better meet the needs of our membership.
Are there any exceptions to the new pricing?
Yes. We have retained an Associate Membership designed for employees or agents of a company that wish to have a separate Directory/Web listing under their own name, but still want to be identified with the company. This would apply mainly to realtors but could affect others as well. In this case, the following would apply:
1. The employee or agent may receive an Associate Membership at $200 if the company they are associated with is at the Corporate Level or higher. The Associate Member would then have all the benefits associated with the Business Level.
2. If the company chooses to invest at the Business Level ($325), then the employee or agent wishing those separate listings would also have to invest at the Business Level.
3. The employee or agent is not limited to the Business Level, and in fact may choose any
level they feel will meet their business needs.
5. An individual who is retired or who may be interested in promoting the community or this
organization would also qualify for a $200 Individual Membership.
